Cole Collier is a Jacksonville Florida based artist. Cole graduated from University of North Florida in 2019 with a BFA in painting, drawing, and printmaking. At the University of North Florida he received the Paul Ladnier Scholarship for the Fine Arts, studied in Rome with Dr. Debra Murphy and Sheila Goloborotko, attended Radius Workshops in Croatia with Louise Freshman Brown, and finally received the Student Excellence award from Jason Johns. Cole Colliers paintings pay homage to the working class, specifically the men he grew up working with for his family's construction company. Inspired by baroque imagery, his works depict speed, sound, and drama. Common themes in his paintings are vulnerability, pride, and tradition.
